The Conservative Party Conference takes place in Birmingham at the start of October following what has been a turbulent few months for the party.
Boris Johnson resigned from his post and has since ben replaced with Liz Truss, the third female leader in the history of the party.
The new regime of the party will be looking to move forward into a new era, and the next big party wide meet will be the 2022 Conference which this year is being held in Birmingham.
Here’s what you need to know about the conference, including when it takes place, where in Birmingham it is being held, and whether or not Boris Johnson will attend.
When is the Conservative Party Conference 2022?
The 2022 Party Conference will take place in the autumn of this year, with the dates of 2 to 5 October announced.
Where will the Conference be held?
All four days of the conference will take place at the International Convention Centre (ICC) located in Centenary Square, Birmingham.
What is planned for the conference?
A political party conference is an opportunity for party members, business leaders and public affairs professionals to gather to listen to the latest goings on within the party and meet with each other.
Amongst events planned for the CPC22 are policy debates, a chance to listen to speakers, receive political training, and meet with senior Conservative MP’s.
A Conference Gala Drinks Reception - the first of its kind - will also be held in the Birmingham Symphony Hall.
Is there an agenda for the conference?
The agenda was due to be released at the start of September, but the death of Queen Elizabeth II has changed this. The Conservative Party have said: “After the very sad death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, we are currently making changes to the agenda to celebrate her extraordinary lifetime of service. Additionally, we are making amendments to reflect our new, recently announced Cabinet and ministerial team.”

Who will lead the party into the 2022 Conference?
The new Prime Minister and Leader of The Conservative Party Liz Truss will lead her party into the 2022 Conference, and will most likley make a speech to Conservative Party members and MPs at some point during the meet.
Will Boris Johnson attend?
Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson could attend the conference as a Conservative Party member and Member of Parliament.
He would possibly, understandably, receive a lot of attention on this visit to Birmingham for the events of his time in office and the weeks which led to his resignation.
