Birmingham is quickly becoming the hotspot for nightlife here in the UK with an abundance of cocktail bars across the city centre.

A few worth mentioning - to start with there’s eclectic Cocktail Club which opened last year on Temple Street to much fanfare. There is also, of course, The Botanist - also on Temple Street - famous for it’s particularly creative take on cocktails.

Then there’s the particularly instagrammable Tonight Josephine at Burlington Arcade. And who can’t forget Lost & Found, a cocktail bar with a whole lot of character. Then of course there’s Be At One for those who want to keep the cocktails flowing throughout the night.

Then there’s Dirty Martini, The Alchemist, 52 Gas Street - in fact there’s far too many to mention. Birmingham is undeniably a city for those looking for some of the best cocktails in the UK.

Lot’s of great bars all across Birmingham offering fantastic deals on cocktails. Almost everyone has their favourite place to go as well as their particular choice. We thought we’d hit the streets of the city to find out Brummies preferences when it comes to having a night on the town.

Andrew says: “The best place for me to go in Birmingham, it has to be the Gay Village of course and any of the bars in and around there. I absolutely love them and you know, you always get the warm welcome and there’s always a decent drink offer and a bite to eat. So that’s where you find me there or of course any of the Chinese restaurants - fabulous.”

Waly says: “Okay, so I have a lot of really good cocktail bars. I can name three. I think Cosy Club is nice, it has a really nice environment. I work there so come to Cosy! Dirty Martini is really good. It’s really popular as well. They have plenty of cocktails. And then I think Pitcher & Piano in the Brindleyplace. My favourite cocktail is Pornstar Martini.”

Sinead says: “I know it’s basic, but it would definitely be a Passion Fruit Martini, Pornstar Martini. Turtle Bay. I love the bottomless brunch there. I actually work in Popworld. We make some good cocktails in there. Tonight Josephine. I forgot it was called - I think it’s Aluna? Down by the canal. That’s my favourite I think.”
