It’s just over two years since news, lifestyle and sports website BirminghamWorld launched with a mission to champion Birmingham and its people.

Now we want to wish our readers a Happy New Year with a promise to bring more stories and videos of our city’s successes throughout 2024 - while also shining a spotlight on issues blighting city life.

There are so many exciting things happening in our city over the coming months including MasterChef studios due to open in Digbeth alongside film studios from Peaky Blinders Creator Stephen Knight and a new music venue in Stirchley. And we look forward to keeping you informed on all the latest developments - while continuing to support campaigns to make our roads safer.
