A man who found the 'world's longest Hula Hoop' has put it - on eBay.

Adam Potter, 28, was shocked to find the 4.72-inch crisp during a snack break at home last month. He didn't want to eat it so stuck it in an airtight container - and has now listed it for sale online.

Bidding has already reached £4.20 - more than a multipack of Hula Hoops. Adam's salt and vinegar discovery in December trumps the previous world record, he claims - a 4-inch hoop found in August 2021. He said: "I did it as a bit of a laugh to be honest - who is going to buy a Hula Hoop.

"But then I saw that one sold for £712 and I thought I would be daft not to put it on there. Hopefully something good comes of it, with the money I will put it into my small business. I am hoping it will be a nice little cash injection."

Adam's special hoop was within a Big Hoops packet he bought on December 19. The old school desserts business owner, from Birmingham, said: "I was having a break whilst I was baking some chocolate concrete, I opened the packet and was confused.

"It really threw me for the day, I ran upstairs to tell my wife but she was in a meeting - I had to hold my excitement but she was well amazed. I have contacted KP Snacks and said they should bring them out and call them Hula Tubes. They would be perfect for dipping."

Adam said crisps are his favourite snack and he was shocked by the discovery.

He said: "Crisps are always my go to, they are easy to pick up out of the cupboard. I thought I would take some pictures and eat it but I still have it in a box with the wrapper."

Adam put the Hula Hoop on eBay on Monday (January 8) and also contacted KP Snacks about his impressive find. Currently, the gigantic hoop has five bids. Bidding ends in six days.
