Despite the gloomy weather on Tuesday, the West Midlands is set to experience warmer weather over the next few days - here’s the Met Office forecast.

After some glorious sunshine over the weekend, locals in Birmingham and the West Midlands are experiencing some rather gloomy weather on Tuesday (June 20).

Rain is expected to continue throughout the day, although some sunshine will arrive this evening. The weather is also set to remain humid over the next few days. Forecasters predict that Friday will be “dry and very warm” for several locations including the West Midlands.

But the sunshine will return over the next few days, with the weekend weather set to be lovely.

In the region, temperatures are expected to pick up on Wednesday and Thursday rising to 24 degrees celsius throughout the day, according to the Met Office. Temperatures are also expected to reach 25 degrees celsius this weekend with sunny intervals throughout Saturday and Sunday.

Temperatres could even rise to 27 degrees celsius on Saturday according to the forecast.
