Officers also arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault after a man was assaulted and robbed in Birmingham city centre earlier this month. Officers on patrol in Rookery Park also arrested a 16-year-old boy. A zombie knife was recovered after being discarded following a foot-chase.

A/Detective Inspector Tom Lyons, from Birmingham Police, said: "We are continuing to target those who commit these awful crimes that can leave a lasting impact on victims.

"Offenders will often prey on vulnerable members of society and use threats, and sometimes violence, to take what isn't theirs.

“Robbery remains a force priority and our work continues. We are working around the clock to bring offenders to justice.”
