Five men involved in the robbery in Lozells Road, Birmingham are due to stand trial

A fifth man was charged following a violent robbery in Lozells Road, Birmingham.

During the incident at around 12.30pm on September 16, the victim was allegedly stripped naked and hit before personal items were stolen. Police said the victim, a man in his 20s, has recovered from his physical injuries since then.

On Thursday (November 30), West Midlands Police charged Roman Ahmed, aged 23, with robbery and he was remanded in police custody before appearing at Birmingham Magistrates Court later that day.

It follows the charging in September of Mohammed Hamza Miah, aged 22, Saleh Ahmed, 23, Zeshan Hussain, 18 and Nadir Mohamed, 23 with robbery. All five men are due to stand trial in March, 2024.
