The Kings Coronation bank holiday weekend is upon us - and what better way to enjoy the long weekend than a trip to the pub.
Nearly every weekend in May is a long one - and the nation is preparing to mark the Coronation of King Charles III on May 6 with an extra day off on Monday.
There are a huge number of events being held across the city, including the big screen and free entertainment at Centenary Square.
And hundreds of neighbourhoods are coming together to hold a traditional British street party.
Birmingham is home to a huge number of places named after royalty - from Prince Andrew Crescent in Rubery, Kings Road in Kings Heath, Kingstanding, Kings Norton - and so many more roads, and, of course, the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield.
But here’s a look at the pubs of the city named after royalty and a look at whether or not they are celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III.

13. Queens Arms, Newhall Street, city centre
It sports an eye-catching art nouveau frontage and is packed with period charm and is renowned for being a lively spot with a four star rating on Tripadvisor. A grade II listed building, it was built around 1870 and in more modern times was featured in Line of Duty, no less. It hosted live music for May Day bank holiday weekend, but hasn’t announced anything for the Kings Coronation Weekend yet. You can keep an eye on its Facebook and Instagram pages for more information though | Google Maps

14. Queens Head, Steelhouse Lane, city centre
This pub has been in situ since 1829. It was a gin bar called Jekyll and Hyde for a while, but is now run by Davenports Brewery and prides itself on being ‘a proper pub’. It serves excellent ales, spirits and freshly prepared cocktails alongside a menu of great British pub favourites made with locally sourced ingredients. It is pulling out all the stops for the coronation. With live coverage on its screens and its taking bookings now. Check out the website for more details. | Google Maps
