Police name attempted murder suspect after Hockley, Birmingham knife attack

A man was charged with attempted murder after another man was stabbed in Hockley, Birmingham.

The incident took place on Great Hampton Row on Sunday (November 19). West Midlands Police said that the victim, a man in his 30s, suffered serious neck injuries and remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Ambulance and police crews had raced to Great Hampton Row in Hockley in the early hours of Sunday (November, 19).  Yonas Asmenash, aged 31 from Birmingham, was arrested on Tuesday (November 21) and was due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court yesterday (November 23).
