A major road in Hockley, Birmingham has been closed this morning (Monday, November 20) after a man was stabbed yesterday (November 19).

The Great Hampton Row in Hockley has been closed and commuters have been asked to considered alternative routes. West Midlands Roads, which is part of Transport for West Midlands, have labelled it a major disruption.

National Express West Midlands (NXWM) Service 52 will be continuing along Well street and then using Great Hampton St in both directions. NXWM said: "We apologise for any disruption to your journey."

West Midlands Police statement

West Midlands Police said: "We are holding a scene in Birmingham today after a man was stabbed yesterday.

"In the early hours of Sunday we were called to Great Hampton Row after a man was found with serious neck injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment and we are carrying out further enquiries today."
