Birmingham City are set to take on Wrexham on Monday night (Monday, September 16) in what is being dubbed the ‘Hollywood Derby’.

Wrexham will come up against a Blues side that has NFL star Tom Brady as a minority owner along with majority shareholders Tom Wagner’s Shelby Companies Ltd.

Blues have had a brilliant start to their 2024/25 campaign, with three wins from their first four league games. Chris Davies’ side also have a game in hand.

Monday’s fixture will see Birmingham: League One’s big spenders, come up against the division’s leaders. Wrexham are top of the league having won four of their first five games. Both sides are unbeaten.

Wrexham, unlike Birmingham, were in league action at the weekend and defeated local rivals Shrewsbury Town 3-0 at the Racecourse Ground on Saturday. Ollie Palmer, Elliot Lee, and Jack Marriott were all on target within the hour, and that put them top of the standings.
