Birmingham City are set to take on Wrexham on Monday night (Monday, September 16) in what is being dubbed the ‘Hollywood Derby’.
It’s uncertain whether the Welsh club’s owners - the actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney - will be at St Andrew’s for the fixture on Monday evening. Wrexham will come up against a Blues side that has NFL star Tom Brady as a minority owner along with majority shareholders Tom Wagner’s Shelby Companies Ltd.

Hide AdWrexham, unlike Birmingham, were in league action at the weekend and defeated local rivals Shrewsbury Town 3-0 at the Racecourse Ground on Saturday. Ollie Palmer, Elliot Lee, and Jack Marriott were all on target within the hour, and that put them top of the standings.
Birmingham’s last game came against Walsall on Tuesday, September 3, with several first-team players featuring in a 1-1 draw in the EFL Trophy. Wrexham played Salford City on Tuesday (September 10), beating them 2-1 in the EFL Trophy thanks to a goal from Paul Mullin and a Josh Austerfield own goal.
