Birmingham City and Shrewsbury Town have been charged by the FA following a confrontation during their Bristol Street Motors Trophy match, which saw multiple yellow cards issued.

It comes after a confrontation between their players in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy match.

It was ruled that both clubs allegedly failed to stop their players behaving in an improper way.

The incident took place at around the 67th minutes of the game. Blues went on to win 4-0 at the Croud Meadow on October 8.

The incident occurred after a challenge by Town's Taylor Perry on Blues winger Scott Wright.

A number of yellow cards were issued following the confrontation.

Both clubs have until Wednesday (16) to respond.
