We visit Pull&Bear and Bershka at the Bullring in Birmingham as the fasion stores open: what we found there

Zara’s parent company has opened fashion stores Bershka and Pull&Bear in Birmingham’s Bullring as they bring the latest streetwear trends to Brummies

It’s almost Christmas and people are rushing to get their festive shopping done in time. Bullring and Grand Central are one of the top destinations along with Birmingham High Street and New Street to grab some of the latest fashions, trinkets and stocking fillers for our near and dear ones.

One of the best experiences of visiting the shopping centres in the city centre are the amazing events, lights and decor to fill us with festive spirit. And, the Bullring shopping centre has upped its game with three major openings this week.

Goldsmiths reopened after an expansion on Monday while Spain’s global fashion retailers - Pull&Bear and Bershka opened today (Thursday, December 7).

The popular streetwear brands, owned by Inditex, have taken up a 36,453sq ft unit, separated by two dedicated entrances, located on Bullring & Grand Central’s upper level next to River Island. Inditex also owns the brands Zara, Massimo Dutti, Stradivarius, Oysho and Zara Home.

We visited the two newly opened stores and found the best of casual streetwear fashion at the brick and mortar stores.

The Christmas shoppers have already descended on the newly opened stores - which have a mix of trendy clothes that are perfect for Winter 2023/2024.

While browsing through the shelves at the two bright and shiny outlets, it was obvious that the brands are perfect for a young audience and there were plenty of groups of young men and women exploring the stores.

Pull&Bear sports a silver and white look giving off a glam look. They are equipped with self-checkout counters, fitting rooms, as well as manned checkout counters. If anyone is looking for the best selfie spot, the brightly lit silver stairs with blue walls leading up to the upper floor - where the men’s collection is displayed - is the perfect place.

It gives the feeling of walking up a tunnel and opens into the brightly lit first floor. The winter collection is full of chic jackets and coats, dresses perfect for parties, as well as comfy hoodies and oversized shirts for both men and women.

Next door, Bershka sports a more colourful theme with red walls and a more open floor plan. Helpful and friendly staff were everywhere to assist customers. They also have a good collection for stylish teens and young adults.

Cut-out dresses, faux leather jackets, as well as coats and trousers lined the shelves at Bershka. They also have something for those who are more adventurous in their fashion choices.

Bullring is also home to global fast fashion leader Inditex’s Zara located on New Street.

Bullring and Grand Central have extended their opening hours for Christmas. You can find the full details here.
