Several towns near Birmingham have been named in the West Midlands comprehensive rankings of the best places to live in the county, based on research on by independent buying agency, Garrington Property Finders.
The analysis included a total of 1,429 locations and the company said that many of the most desirable places to live in England and Wales became better value last year as property prices fell.
Judges rank the cities, neighbourhoods, towns and villages in 'Best Places to Live in England and Wales 2024' across five criteria: natural beauty, wellbeing, employment, connectivity, and value for money. In England and Wales, Twyford in Berkshire came out on top as the best place to live. St Albans (Hertfordshire) and Epsom (Surrey) made the top three, with New Mills in Derbyshire and Bowden in Greater Manchester completing the top 5.

1. Great Malvern, Worcestershire
