The people of Birmingham and the Black Country might have a bit of a fun rivalry between them, each declaring their areas the best.
But what makes them great areas in their own right are the things that make them unique.
The Black Country is full of great cities and towns such as Wolverhampton, Dudley and Walsall. The Black Country also has a rich industrial heritage and many attractions that can more than compete with Birmingham, such as its shopping centres and range of museums including the Black Country Living Museum.

1. Birmingham's Frankfurt Christmas Market
This is the largest authentic German Christmas market outside of Germany or Austria and offers a large range of traditional good and gifts.
