The Birmingham restaurants that won at the Good Food Awards 2022

The winners of the 2022 Good Food Awards have been announced, with three Birmingham eateries being recognised for the quality of their food and service.
The prestigious awards lunched in 2002, and celebrate those who strive for culinary excellence within their field.

Hide AdThe Good Food Awards are divided into five categories, including fine dining restaurants and products, cafes, fish and chips, takeaways, and gastro pubs.
All three of the Birmingham winners came in the fine dining, restaurants and products category.
Here are the three city establishments which were recognised for their food this year.


Alleppey Boat Indian restaurant, Stratford Road, Hall Green
Won: Blue Ribbon award

Hide AdAlleppey Boat in Hall Green is famed for its aromatic spicy curries and sweet and sour chutneys. Each dish is tastefully crafted with a blend of delicious ingredients by a team of culinary experts.
The Indian restaurant and takeaway was handed the Blue Ribbon award, which is bestowed upon those with high customer ratings/votes and is known as – the Blue Ribbon for Delicious Dishes.


Lime n Chilli restaurant, Soho Road, Handsworth
The team at Lime n Chilli took over a traditional pub in Soho Road and turned it into one of the best and most popular Indian bar and restaurants in town.
The restaurant and takeaway has a great selection of drinks and some the best Indian food in the area.
Won: Blue Ribbon


Basmati restaurant, Birmingham Road, Great Barr
Won: Gold Seal
