Birmingham has a proud past and history and there are many places which are still sadly missed that were once an integral part of the city’s identity.
We asked our readers: “What do you miss most about the city’s past and what would you bring back?” Our readers did no disappoint with their suggestions as plenty of people got in touch to tell us the things they most miss about Brum’s past.

1. C&A, Corporation Street
C&A was a popular department store on Corporation Street throughout the decades. C&A closed in 2001. Lottie wrote: "Loved that department!" | Google
2. Pagoda Park, Smallbrook Queensway
In the 1980s was a popular nightclub with three floors and the DJ going up and down in a glass lift. The venue used to host themed events as well. | google
3. The Filibuster
The Filibuster pub was a rock bar located by St Chads Circus | Google
4. Bogarts, New Street
This is the approximate site of Bogarts. Where there is now offices and banks, there was a three floor club that was popular in the 1970s. The top floor hosted the acts.
