It's British Pie Week (March 4-10) and to celebrate, we've taken a look at where you can get the very best pies in Birmingham.
There's a lot that goes in to a great pie. You've got to think about the golden crusty top, the perfect meaty (or vegan) flavour, texture, consistency, accompaniments, and an infinite range of other factors.
That's why today we put together this list of the best pies you can find in restaurants and shops in and around Birmingham, take a look below.
1. Pieminister, Waterloo Street, city centre
The Birmingham branch of the pie chain is nestled in the city centre and has a wide range of pie options. Deals are available on their pies and can be served with a range of sides, including mash potato and halloumi fries.

2. The Botanist, Temple Street, city centre
The cocktails and food chain have two pie servings, and will come served in the lovely surroundings of the Birmingham branch.
A Lamb and Mint pie is available for £12.50 and a Coconut Sweet Potato pie for £11.50.

3. The Old Joint Stock, Temple Row, city centre
This iconic pub restaurant prides itself on its pies, and there won’t be many better places to visit this British Pie Week.
The pie options are vast, from Chicken, smoked ham, leek & Honey Dew Pie to Spicy chickpea, tomato & aubergine, the offerings at the Old Joint Stock are suited to anyone.

4. Mad O’Rourke’s Pie Factory
Famous for it’s Desperate Dan Pie, O’Rourke’s is every pie lover’s dream.
Located in Tipton, the factory has a wide selection of pies priced £8.99-£10.99.
Some options are named after celebrities, such as the Tyson Fury and Andy Murray Pies, whilst others give a nod to famous Brummies such as The Peaky Blinders.
