Birmingham is packed with high quality pizza restaurants to enjoy.
There are plenty of options as to where you go for your taste of Italy in the city, so today we're ranking the best spots for a classic pizza in Brum.
This is our definitive (yet personal, and very subjective opinion) on the city's very best Pizza spots. Regardless of the style of pizza - be it Neapolitan, New York style, Sicilian, or otherwise - we're ranking pizza on a few factors, principally: tastiness, price, location, and generally how hungry we get when looking at their social media pages.
So, let's get down to business. Take a look at our list below for the 9 best pizzas in Birmingham.
1. Otto Pizza, Jewellery Quarter
Based in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter, Otto Pizza
is topping my list due to its lovely wood fired pizzas, which are some of the finest on offer in the city. Having opened back in 2019, Otto use a range of independent Italian and British producers. Their Otto House Ham pizza is my particular favourite and one of the reasons it's sitting at number one It's served on thinly-sliced white mushroom and comes with mixed olive toppings. Yum! They also source much of their food from the Wenlock Edge Farm in Shropshire, who you can often find at the Harborne and Moseley Farmer’s Markets. Delivery service is also available. | Otto Pizza
2. Alicia's Micro Bakehouse, Stirchley
Alicia's comes second in my list thanks to their artisan wood-fired specials. I think Alicia's certainly have some of the best pizzas on offer around the city. If you fancy eating out, this is a great option due to its nice atmosphere in a small but relaxing front room. Due to its location in Stirchley it's not as well known as some of the bigger restaurants in the city centre and their classic Neapolitan pizza with fresh mozzarella cheese, and fresh basil is one of the best in the business | Alicia's
3. Rudy’s Pizza on Bennetts Hill in Birmingham city centre
Myself and the BirminghamWorld team paid a visit to Rudy's on Bennetts Hill in 2022 and it didn't disappoint. Their mouth-watering thin crusts complement the perfect fresh Neapolitan pizza. Their current specials include the Esterina - a Rudy's twist on a signature white pizza from the world famous Sorbillo pizzeria in Naples, and the triple pepperoni feast. Deliveroo also take care of deliveries so you can order at home | Google Maps
4. Baked in Brick, Custard Factory
Having eaten from Baked in Brick a few times, they offer a rather unusual - yet brilliant pizza experience. Now based in the Jewellery Quarter, Based in Brick started six years ago when founder Lee Desanges converted a classic Mini by putting a hand-built pizza oven on the back and a BBQ under the bonnet. They produce some extremely tasty Neapolitan style pizza and have recently expanded by opening a cafe and pizza place in Sutton Coldfield. Their Posh Hawaiian and Spicy Chicken pizzas are two menu highlights | google
