RSPCA Birmingham (Newbrook Farm) animal charity has been taking care for several puppies and dogs - who are looking for their forever home.
The Birmingham centre for RSPCA currently has 10 dogs for adoption, according to their website. These puppies and dogs are perfect for different kinds of homes. Whether you have an adult-only home or a home with no pets or have dogs or even cats as well as kids - there’s a dog perfect for you.
Some of the dogs are older and wiser and will need less fuss while some act like puppies even though they are older. The charity also has young dogs that are less than a year or at least less than two years old - that will be right for homes with older children who won’t get knocked over by the exuberant canine friends.
Deciding to adopt a dog shouldn’t be done lightly as even the most experienced dog owners may have to return a pooch if they are not able to train it well. This can be heartbreaking for the furry friend. There are many information guides on RSPCA’s website about adopting dogs and training them that can be of help.
However, having a new pet is not just work but also a very rewarding experience as they cherish and love us as much or more than we can show our love. So, if you have been thinking about adopting a dog - here are ten that need a home right now:

1. Rolo
He might look like a puppy but Rolo is 10 years old. He is a Patterdale Terrier who loves food, treats, toys and playing with his human play dates - just like a puppy! Given a little time to settle in his bond with his new owners, he will make a cracking companion. He could live with children (if present) of a secondary school age. | Birmingham RSPCA

2. Nibs
This bewildered looking pooch also looks like a little one but is a 13 year old Jack Russell Terrier. He came into RSCPA’s care after his owner went to prison and he was left with nowhere to go. Nibs is very friendly with people and sociable with other dogs and really does enjoy exploring out on his gentle walks. Even though Nibs has poor eyesight and hearing he copes extremely well. He can potentially live in a home with secondary school aged children and / or with a calm, well socialised dog in the right home. | Birmingham RSPCA

3. Jet
She is a two-year-old Lurcher crossbreed. She had been bred from and was severly emaciated on arrival. She has such a zest for life. Her favourite things in the world are walkies, her human friends, and playtime. She could potentially live with another dog in her new home, but they would have to tolerate her sometimes rough play, and she is very very fast (maybe that’s why she’s called Jet). Her owners will need to be active to give this boistrous girl the exercise she needs. Young children would be easily knocked over by her play so we are recommending children (if present) to be secondary school age and over. | Birmingham RSPCA
4. Sandy
This loving but timid girl is in need of a home who understands the need to gently introduce her into the big wide world. She comes from a multi-animal animal household where she had minimal exposure to the outside world and new experiences. She is a crossbreed of 6-12 months. Due to her timidness RSPCA are looking for Sandy to go home to an all adult only home and will need people around for the majority of the time before gradually learning how to be left for short periods. | RSPCA Birmingham
