Animal charity Cats Protection is home to several abandoned and rescued cats in Birmingham. The cats live at their Birmingham Adoption Centre and with foster cat parents across the city.
Many of them were strays or were given up by their former families, who are unable to care for them anymore. However, you can give them a second chance at having a family by taking them home.
Cats are loving creatures and are a great addition to homes. Their way of showing love may be different than that of dogs but when given love and care, cats know how to reciprocate.
They are likely to come to you for snuggles and rubs, or they could be just happy to sit close to you. Kittens may need more attention initially as they have a lot of energy and love to play. With dozens of cats available for adoption, you can find one that suits your personality and lifestyle easily.
If you want to adopt a cat from Cats Protection, you can contact them through their website.
Here are eight cats currently up for adoption in Birmingham:
1. Cindy
Tortoiseshell and White coloured Cindy is 11 years old. She’s an affectionate girl and loves a bit of attention and then to retreat to her own space or curl up next to you for a snooze. She likes to play a little bit too (chasing a laser is her favourite!). She’d make a lovely addition to somebody’s home. | Cats Protection Birmingham
2. Kiki
Kiki is a sweet, loving girl who is a real bundle of fun and affection. As an older kitten, she is still very adaptable and will be the perfect addition to most families! Kiki has never experienced the great outdoors before, so access to the outdoors is essential. We want her to explore and enjoy every inch of her new home and area! | Cats Protection
3. George
George is a 5-year-old tabby and white cat. George has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Vrirus) so will need an indoor home (the addition of a patio would be amazing) and will need to be the only cat, although he could possibly live with another FIV carrier. Anyone interested in adopting George will need to have researched FIV and be aware of any additional care he may need in the future. | Cats Protection
4. Eric
Eric is looking for a family home, he has lived with mature children quite happily and loves nothing more than having playtime and then some time having cuddle time. He is a very loving and friendly boy so could you be the lucky person to become his new parents. | cats protection
