Fans of George Michael have a special night to look forward to as the George Michael Singers 2025 Live tour arrives at Birmingham's Alexandra Theatre on Friday, 25th April 2025.

This unique celebration of George Michael’s music brings together Shirley Lewis, Jo Garland, and Jay Henry, alongside members of his original band and musical director Steve Sidwell.

Following a sold-out performance at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire in December 2024, the tour offers fans the chance to enjoy a selection of George Michael’s most iconic songs. The setlist includes favourites like Cowboys & Angels, Careless Whisper, Faith, Fastlove, and Freedom. The evening will also feature personal stories from Shirley, Jo, and Jay about their time working with George, offering insight into the man behind the music.

Shirley Lewis, who collaborated with George for over 30 years, sang on classics like Father Figure and Freedom. She describes the tour as a meaningful way to honour his memory, saying, “We’re excited to perform George’s beautiful songs again. Although our hearts will always miss him, working together like this keeps his spirit with us.”

Jo Garland, who contributed to albums like Older and Ladies & Gentlemen, shared how the tour came to be. “While Shirley and I were touring last year, we started reminiscing about George and realised just how many incredible memories we had. From that, the idea for the show was born.”

Jay Henry, a seasoned session vocalist and vocal coach, performed with George at the 2012 London Olympics and worked closely with him throughout his career. Reflecting on the tour, he said, “I like to imagine George sitting in the audience, smiling and saying, ‘Thank you, this is just what I would have wanted.’”

This heartfelt tribute to one of music’s most beloved artists is set to be an evening to remember. Don’t miss the chance to experience it at Birmingham’s Alexandra Theatre
