Opticians supports blood cancer charity

The team at a Birmingham opticians has raised £350 for a cancer charity after starting a new initiative.

Throughout August, Specsavers on New Street in Birmingham pledged to donate £1 to Myeloma UK, a charity supporting people diagnosed with myeloma (a type of blood cancer) and their loved ones, for every customer feedback survey received. These are sent via email following every visit to the store.

‘We are always looking to our customers for feedback to help us improve our services and better serve the needs of the community,’ says Roger Walker, store director at Specsavers Birmingham. ‘Myeloma UK is a charity that’s very close to my heart, so I’m really pleased that we were able to support them with this scheme. Thank you to everyone who completed a feedback form and helped us to reach our fundraising total.’
