Diane Scott, who has owned the pharmacy for nearly a decade, decided to sell as she plans to retire.

The pharmacy was sold to Ian and Jas Riaar, a father and son team who also own Yew Tree Pharmacy in Walsall, which they acquired through Christie & Co.

The sale followed a confidential process managed by Carl Steer at Christie & Co.

Carl Steer, Director – Pharmacy at Christie & Co, commented, “After several months of negotiations with potential buyers, Mrs. Scott entrusted us with the sale. We quickly received multiple acceptable offers and placed the pharmacy under offer. We are delighted to have facilitated another sale to the Riaar family, who are already planning their third pharmacy acquisition.”

The sale price of Wards Chemist remains undisclosed.
