My indulgent visit to the world's most instagrammable cafe ahead of its opening in Birmingham
and live on Freeview channel 276
I stepped into EL&N Cafe’s latest venue in Birmingham and found myself in a rose-tinted world.
Sprawled across nearly 8,000 square feet and nestled in the heart of the Bullring and Grand Central, on New Street it's known for its Instagram-worthy interiors and indulgent treats. The doors open for all to see tomorrow (March 14) - but I had the pleasure of having a sneak peek.

The atmosphere was electric, with influencers and food enthusiasts mingling, their excitement palpable.
My plus one, ordered the Lotus Biscoff Milkshake. Topped with whipped cream and a generous crumble of the iconic spiced shortcrust biscuits. As she took her first sip, her eyes lit up; the shake was a creamy concoction that perfectly balanced the rich caramelised flavours of Biscoff.
I, on the other hand, opted for the Raspberry Mojito. It was a refreshing twist on the classic, with muddled raspberries adding a tart sweetness, complemented by the mint’s coolness – it was all halal, so no alcohol was included.
For the main for us both, the smashed avocado on sourdough toast was a culinary delight. The avocado was ripe and creamy, spread generously over a crisp, perfectly toasted sourdough and poached egg that added just the right amount of crunch. It was a simple dish that showcased the cafe's commitment to quality ingredients and execution.

The pancake was a fluffy stack, drizzled with the smooth, nutty chocolate spread, and adorned with hazelnuts. The macaron, a delicate pink affair, was a bite-sized burst of floral flavours that melted away, leaving a lingering hint of rose on the tongue.
The customer service matched the high standard set by the food. The staff were attentive and warm, ensuring that every aspect of our visit was seamless. Their enthusiasm for the cafe's offerings was infectious, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable.
The exceptional service, the care put into each dish, the memory etched in shades of pink and petals, made EL&N Cafe stand out.
So, if you find yourself in Birmingham, head to EL&N Café on 14 March. Order a drink or meal, snap a photo against the pink wall, and let the magic unfold.
