The trust has been named a finalist in the following categories:

  • Community Impact Award 2026
  • Trust Leadership Team of the Year 2026
  • Trust of the Year (Small) 2026

The nominations highlight the trust’s continued commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people, strengthening school communities and delivering high-quality education across its settings.

Summit Community Leads and the trust’s many partners are hugely committed to delivering holistic support to learners across all Summit schools.

Summit’s Base Camp programme goes beyond traditional education by offering targeted support such as free meals, uniform provision, hygiene products, digital access, transport, and cultural capital experiences.

The trust also works closely with local charities, food banks, and national initiatives to ensure every young person receives what they need to thrive, both inside and outside the classroom.

At the heart of Summit Learning Trust is a highly skilled and supportive central team that enables schools to thrive. From education improvement and safeguarding expertise through to finance, HR, estates, IT, data, communications and procurement, these central services provide strong, efficient and consistent support so that leaders and staff can focus on what matters most, delivering the very best outcomes for children and young people.

By combining deep professional expertise with a culture of collaboration, the central team helps create the conditions for schools to flourish, share best practice and continuously improve, ensuring every setting across the trust benefits from shared knowledge, high-quality systems and strong strategic leadership.

Despite being a relatively small trust, Summit consistently punches above its weight through the strength of its collaboration. Schools work closely together, sharing expertise, resources and best practice in a way that amplifies impact far beyond what size alone might suggest.

These national awards celebrate outstanding practice in education leadership and the winners will be announced next month at a ceremony in Milton Keynes.

A spokesperson for Summit Learning Trust said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted in three categories at the nEdEx School & Trust Leadership Awards 2026. This recognition is a reflection of the incredible dedication, teamwork and commitment shown by colleagues across all of our schools and services.

“Our focus remains firmly on ensuring the very best outcomes for the children and communities we serve, and it is fantastic to see that work recognised at a national level. We are proud of the impact our teams are making every day and look forward to celebrating this achievement together.”
