Spook-tacular competition at local opticians
CHILDREN who visit a Chelmsley Wood opticians will be in with the chance to win some sweet treats in the lead up to Halloween.
Specsavers on Greenwood Square, which is locally owned and run, has been decorated with all things spooky as the team embrace the Halloween spirit with a colouring competition for youngsters. Entries will be collected on or before Wednesday 29 October and the winning entry will receive a hamper filled with treats to enjoy.

‘This time of year is always a good excuse to have some fun,’ Sukhwant Drake, store director at Specsavers Chelmsley Wood, comments. ‘We’ve really enjoyed decorating the store and we’ve had some brilliant entries so far. There’s still time to get involved, and with it being half term, hopefully it’s an opportunity for local children to have some fun and get creative while they’re off school!
‘Half term is also a good opportunity to think about getting your children’s eyes tested. After being back at school for a few weeks, if they are having any issues, an eye test will pick this up. Being able to see clearly is incredibly important in your child’s overall development so the sooner vision problems are detected, the better the outcome.’
