30 more places for Birmingham pupils as demand for school grows
Cockshut Hill School in Birmingham is expanding its Year 7 intake by 30 places from September amid growing demand for places
The school, part of Summit Learning Trust, said the increase in its Published Admission Number will allow more local young people to join as it continues its wider improvement journey.

The announcement follows the first year of Jody Clarke's tenure as principal, during which the school has reported improved attendance, stronger learner engagement and continued progress.
Mr Clarke joined Cockshut Hill after holding senior leadership roles across the West Midlands, including deputy headteacher and executive director of school improvement and development at CORE Education Trust.
The school has also celebrated another strong set of GCSE results this summer, with more pupils achieving strong passes in English and maths.
It said there had also been an increase in the number of pupils achieving the highest grades, including Grade 9s across a range of subjects, alongside improvements in maths.
A number of pupils have progressed to Level 3 courses, apprenticeships and other post-16 destinations.
The school said the increased intake reflected growing confidence in Cockshut Hill and its commitment to providing more local families with access to education.
Jody Clarke, principal at Cockshut Hill School, said: “I am incredibly proud of the progress our learners and staff have made over my first year as Principal.
“The increase in our intake reflects the strength of our school community and the confidence families have in what we are building together.
“We are focused on ensuring every young person has the opportunities, support and ambition to succeed, whatever their chosen pathway. This is an exciting next step in our journey.”
