Solihull road closures: dozens of for motorists to avoid this week

Solihull's motorists will have 26 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Solihull's motorists will have 26 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And 10 of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 17 closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M6, from 9pm January 8 to 5am January 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6 southbound, jct 4a to jct 4, hard shoulder closures for installation of temporary restraint barrier system.

M42, from 8pm January 3 to 6am January 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M42 both directions jct nine to jct seven, lane closures for communications.

M42, from 9pm January 4 to 6am January 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M42 southbound, junction 7 to junction 6, lane closures for construction improvement.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
