Solihull's motorists will have 28 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And six of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 11 closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M40, from 9pm February 17 to 6am May 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M42 northbound and southbound, junction 3a to junction 7, hard shoulder and lane closures for access to emergency refuge bays to replace signage.

A446, from 9.30am March 1 to 3.30pm May 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A446 southbound, from M6, junction 4 island to biddles loop, lane closures for tree planting works in relation to HS2.

A46, from midnight, January 4 to 6am June 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 northbound and southbound, stoneleigh, short duration mobile working for narrow lanes TM maintenance using IPV and TM vehicle.

A46, from 6am September 7 2021 to 11.59pm June 30 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 northbound and southbound, Stoneleigh, Narrow lanes and speed restriction for construction of new bridge.
