And four of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 14 closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A446, from 8pm April 1 to 6am April 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A446 from M6, junction 4 to A452 Birmingham Business Park roundabout southbound, via Biddles loop, 24/7 Lane closure for off network closure for New road installation for HS2.

A45, from 9.30am April 1 to 3pm April 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A45 by Motorcycle museum, Lane closure for utility works on behalf of EE ltd.

M40, from 9pm February 17 to 6am April 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M42 northbound and southbound, junction 3a to junction 7, hard shoulder and lane closures for access to emergency refuge bays to replace signage.

A46, from 9.30am March 28 to 4pm April 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 northbound, stoneleigh junction, lane closure and temporary speed limit for new bridge construction.

A446, from 9.30am March 1 to 3.30pm May 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A446 southbound, from M6, junction 4 island to biddles loop, lane closures for tree planting works in relation to HS2.

A46, from midnight, January 4 to 6am June 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 northbound and southbound, stoneleigh, short duration mobile working for narrow lanes TM maintenance using IPV and TM vehicle.

A45, from 9pm April 4 to 6am April 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6 southbound, junction 4A to junction 4, carriageway closure for White Lining/Road Markings to complete installation of narrow lanes for communications works.

A446, from 9pm April 7 to 6am April 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 southbound, junction 4 to 3 and junction 4 entry slip, Lane closure on roundabout and entry slip road, leading to single lane running on main carriageway to junction 3A, for communications.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
