Good news as food hygiene ratings handed to 15 Solihull establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 15 of Solihull’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to six restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Clubhouse Cafe at Leafield Athletic Fc Rumbush Lane, Earlswood; rated on July 29

• Rated 5: Asneths Diner Caribbean Palmz Ltd at 14 Maple Walk, Chelmsley Wood, Birmingham; rated on July 28

• Rated 5: Divine at 347 Haslucks Green Road, Shirley, Solihull; rated on July 26

• Rated 5: Mirabellas Play Cafe at 3 Manor Walk, Solihull; rated on July 26

• Rated 5: Oltons Pizza N Grill at 260c Gospel Lane, Olton, Solihull; rated on July 25

• Rated 5: SugarLush Desserts at 232 Stratford Road, Shirley, Solihull; rated on July 19

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And four ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:
