A Sandwell takeaway has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

A Sandwell takeaway has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Darlaston Chippy, a takeaway at 23 Darlaston Road, Wednesbury was given the maximum score after assessment on December 19, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Sandwell's 359 takeaways with ratings, 177 (49%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
