Sandwell road closures: two for motorists to avoid this week

Sandwell's motorists will have two road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures are due to start this week:

• M6, from 9pm March 2 to 6am March 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6 northbound, jct nine entry slip road, slip road carriageway closure for gantry inspection works.

• M5, from 11pm March 11 to 6am March 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions jct two to jct one, lane closures for inspection/survey.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
