Sandwell road closures: seven for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight
Sandwell's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

Hide AdThe latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M5, from 9pm October 9 to 6am October 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 both directions jct three to jct 4, lane and slip road closure for inspection works.
• M5, from 8am October 14 to 5pm October 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, jct three to jct 2, hard shoulder closure for gantry works.
And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

Hide Ad• M6, from 8pm October 17 to 5am October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 southbound, jct eight to jct 7, lane closure for communication works.
• M5, from 9pm October 17 to 5am October 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound to M6 southbound, link road, carriageway closure for structure - maintenance.
• M6, from 11pm October 18 to 6am October 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 northbound, jct eight to jct 8, Lane closure for technology works.
• M6, from 9pm October 19 to 6am October 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 both directions jct eight to jct seven, lane closures for barrier safety repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
