Sandwell road closures: five for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight


Sandwell's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

Hide AdThe latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start over the next two weeks:
• M5, from 9pm July 11 to 6am July 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions jct one to jct 2, lane closure for central reservation works.
• M5, from 9.30am to 3pm on July 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions Mayfield Road to Ferndale Road, two-way traffic signals signals for inspection/survey.
• M5, from 9.30am to 3pm on July 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions Roundhills Road to Pitfields Close, two-way traffic signals signals for inspection/survey.

Hide Ad• M6, from 9pm July 18 to 6am July 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound to M6 southbound and M6 northbound to M5 southbound, link roads (Eastern arm both directions), lane closure for barrier repairs.
• A4123, from 8pm July 24 to 6am August 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 borth directions jct one to jct 3, Lane and carriageway closures for signage upgrades.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
