Sandwell's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Sandwell's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And five of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that eight closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9pm September 4 to 6am September 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, jct three to jct two, lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

A4123, from 9pm September 4 to 6am September 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, jct three to jct 2, carriageway closure for resurfacing works.

M6, from 9pm September 4 to 6am September 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 southbound, jct eight to jct 7, lane closures for carriageway reconstruction/renewal.

A4123, from 9pm September 5 to 6am September 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 both directions jct two to jct 3, Lane closures and carriageway closures for structural inspections.

A4123, from 9pm September 7 to 6am September 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 both directions jct three entry slip roads, slip road carriageway closures for structural inspections.

M5, from 9pm September 11 to 6am September 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, jct two to jct three, carriageway closure for carriageway reconstruction/renewal.

M6, from 9pm September 14 to 6am September 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 northbound, jct eight to jct nine, lane closure for carriageway repair.

M5, from 8pm September 18 to 6am September 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, jct one to M6 southbound, jct eight link road, carriageway closure for inspection/survey works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
