A Sandwell restaurant has been handed a new one-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Saman Private UK Ltd trading as Istanbul Shawarma, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 68 Cape Hill, Smethwick was given the score after assessment on January 26, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Sandwell's 289 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 201 (70%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
