Road closures: two for Sandwell drivers this week

Drivers in and around Sandwell will have two National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Sandwell will have two National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with both of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures are due to start this week:

M6, from 9pm September 26 to 6am October 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 southbound, jct seven to jct six and Eastern Arm north to M6 southbound, Lane closures for inspection/survey.

M5, from 8pm October 10 to 6am October 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 1 northbound, exit slip and southbound, entry slip closed for utility works on behalf of Western Power.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
