Road closures: two for Sandwell drivers this week

Drivers in and around Sandwell will have two National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with both of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures are due to start this week:

• M6, from 8pm August 15 to 5am August 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, onto M6 southbound, including M6 southbound, junction 7 exit slip, Lane closures for communications.

• M5, from 9.30am to 3pm on August 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound and southbound, Off network 2-way temporary traffic lights on Park Lane for bridge inspection.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
