Road closures: four for Sandwell drivers this week

Drivers in and around Sandwell will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start this week:

• A4123, from 8pm February 6 to 6am February 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, jct two exit slip road, Lane and slip road closure for inspection / survey of Gantry.

• M5, from 9pm February 6 to 5am February 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, jct three to jct one lane closure for sign maintenance work.

• M5, from 9pm February 7 to 6am February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, jct two, lane closure for gantry repairs.

• M6, from 9pm February 8 to 6am February 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 northbound, jct eight to jct nine and M5 northbound, jct one to M6 northbound, Lane closures for technology repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
