Road closures: five for Sandwell drivers this week

Drivers in and around Sandwell will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M6, from 9pm January 13 to 5am January 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 both directions jct seven to jct nine, lane closure for drainage.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A4123, from 9pm January 16 to 6am January 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions jct two between the slips, lane closures for survey works.

• M5, from 9pm January 20 to 6am January 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, jct four to jct three, lane closure for barrier repairs.

• M5, from 11pm January 23 to 6am January 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions jct two to jct 5, short stops for surveys.

• M5, from 9pm January 25 to 6am January 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, jct one to M6 jct 8, lane closures for barrier repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
