Road closures: five for Sandwell drivers over the next fortnight
Drivers in and around Sandwell will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

Hide AdThe latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start over the next two weeks:
• M5, from 9pm January 2 to 6am January 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 3 to junction 2, Lane closures due to barrier repairs.
• M5, from 9pm January 3 to 6am January 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M6 southbound, junction 7 to junction 6, carriageway, slip road and lane closures due to communication works.
• M5, from 9pm January 3 to 6am January 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 2 to junction 3, Lane closure for maintenance works.

• M6, from 9pm January 12 to 5am January 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 southbound, junction 9 to junction 8, Lane closures for communication works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
