Road closures: five for Sandwell drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Sandwell will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 9pm August 21 to 6am August 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, jct three to jct 2, lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

M5, from 9pm August 23 to 6am August 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, jct two to jct 1, lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

M5, from 9pm August 21 to 6am September 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, link from M6 northbound, jct 8, and M6 northbound, jct seven entry slip road, Lane closures, slip and link road carriageway closures road marking works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A4123, from 9pm September 4 to 6am September 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, jct three to jct 2, carriageway closure for resurfacing works.

M6, from 9pm September 4 to 6am September 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M6 southbound, jct eight to jct 7, lane closures for carriageway reconstruction/renewal.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
