New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Sandwell’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Carters Green Fish Bar, at 7 Carters Green, West Bromwich was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on May 15.

And Seavers Fish & Chips, at 301 Oldbury Road, Rowley Regis was given a score of one on May 15.

It means that of Sandwell's 368 takeaways with ratings, 178 (48%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
