New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Sandwell’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Subway, at Colliery Service Station, Hamstead Road, Great Barr was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on September 29.

And Ama Restaurant, at 89 Cape Hill, Smethwick was given a score of zero on September 11.

It means that of Sandwell's 307 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 204 (66%) have ratings of five and just three have zero ratings.
