New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to five of Sandwell’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to three restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: GSJ's Cafe at Unit 40a, Coneygre Industrial Estate, Tipton; rated on August 19

• Rated 4: The Indian Smokehouse Bar and Grill at The Smokehouse, 27 Reform Street, West Bromwich; rated on August 30

• Rated 4: Little Dessert Shop at Unit 11 The Farley Centre, High Street; rated on August 22

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And one rating has been handed to a pub, bar or nightclub:

• Rated 4: The Port n Ale at 178 Horseley Heath, Tipton; rated on August 26
