New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Birmingham’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Birmingham’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Roti & Curry Bazaar, at 664 Alum Rock Road, Birmingham was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 5.

And Mijan Balti Hut, at 611 Walsall Road, Perry Barr, Birmingham was also given a score of five on February 2.

It means that of Birmingham's 853 takeaways with ratings, 346 (41%) have ratings of five and just 16 have zero ratings.
