New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Birmingham’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Birmingham’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Sam and Harry's, at 101 Nechells Park Road, Birmingham was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 11.

And Tennessee Fried Chicken, at 79 Villa Road, Birmingham was also given a score of three on January 11.

It means that of Birmingham's 855 takeaways with ratings, 343 (40%) have ratings of five and just 16 have zero ratings.
